No.3 Gin

No.3 Gin has garnered 24 awards for excellence since 2010. It's the only gin to have won the International Spirits Challenge 'Best in Class' Gin Trophy four times, as well as the prestigious Supreme Champion Spirit Award in 2019.

The Perfection

The passion and precision behind No.3 Gin is reflected in the careful selection of its botanicals. The distillers carefully examine the quality of the crop before buying to ensure that only the very best botanicals are used in each bottle of No.3 Gin.

The Botanicals

With just the right amount of coriander, angelica root, cardamom, grapefruit, sweet orange peel and – of course – juniper, No.3 Gin perfectly balances three key flavours: juniper, citrus and spice.

The World’s Best Gin

No.3 Gin has been named “World's Best” four times by the International Spirits Challenge. It stands out in the crowded world of spirits; it’s the epitome of a truly refreshing and classic London dry gin.

No.3 Gin Tasting Note

No.3 Gin is bright, crisp and fresh on the nose, with an uplifting welcome of juniper. The palate is juniper to the fore, supported by floral notes and spicy, warm cardamom. Plenty of citrus ‘zing’ is complemented by the gingery spiciness of coriander with the earthy dryness of angelica to finish.

Gin Perfection

Named after Berry Bros. & Rudd's historic home in St James's Street, No.3 Gin is the perfect balance of juniper, citrus and spice.

Distilled using three fruit and three spice botanicals, this classic London dry gin is the ideal gin for a dry Martini or a deliciously refreshing gin and tonic. For the perfect gin and tonic, serve with plenty of ice, premium tonic and garnish with a slice pink grapefruit.

The Liquid

No.3 Gin was created by a team of experts based on a brief, from the then-Chairman, Simon Berry, to create the perfect gin – one that balances passion and precision, and stays true to the stylistic roots of London dry gin. They turned to the only man with a PhD in gin, Dr David Clutton, and a team of experts; it took them two years to create No.3 Gin.

The gin is distilled in a unique 100-year-old, brick-encased copper pot still in Holland, the home of gin. It’s produced exclusively from an ultra-premium base spirit of French winter wheat, whose impurities are removed through an adapted process including more steam in the column, an extra wash, less reflux and more time to achieve the best results. This provides an 80% reduction in impurities comparatively to a standard neutral spirit. The botanicals are then steeped for 16 hours to rehydrate them and assist in delivering essential oils, enhancing the flavours as the distillation continue.
